Town of Paonia en Paonia Mayor Says Drinking Water Is Safe

Some Paonia residents recently received a letter from the town with a header that read (in all caps and red text): “Important information about your drinking water.”

The letter explains that part of the town’s water supply isn’t meeting some treatment requirements. But according to Mayor Neal Schwieterman, the water’s still safe, and residents don’t need to worry.
Tue, 04 Feb 2014 00:50:00 +0000 Travis Bubenik 21775 at Paonia Mayor Says Drinking Water Is Safe KVNF Local Newscast: Thursday, May 02, 2013.
Headlines:

Chicken Farm Redux: Delta County Commissioners hear more evidence in Western Slope Layers case

Uranium mines get license from state

Chesnik pleads guilty to $400,000 theft from Town of Paonia

Crawford resident Craig Childs wins Orion Book Award

Cockers choose Teacher of the Year in North Fork

Thu, 02 May 2013 14:37:53 +0000 Brian Cambria 9762 at KVNF Local Newscast, Thursday, March 14, 2013
Headlines:

Gun magazine limit goes to Governor for signature

Gun store owner in Grand Junction discusses current trends

Paonia public meeting Monday to plan new facilities at PHS

Crane Days take place this weekend in Eckert

Parks and Wildlife officials urge caution when collecting antlers

Thu, 14 Mar 2013 14:29:00 +0000 Eric Goold 7719 at KVNF Local Newscast: Friday, November 30, 2012

Headlines:

Authorities Search Mark Redwine's Property

Accused of Embezzlement, Former Town Finance Officer Has No Plans For Payback

With Reservoirs Low, Water Managers Preparing For More of Less

Seniors Food Assistance Program Expanding

Western Slope Skies

Keblar Pass Closed For The Season

Fri, 30 Nov 2012 15:28:14 +0000 Brian Cambria 3516 at KVNF Local Newscast: Friday, October 26, 2012

Headlines:

Wildfire Update

Paonia Town Fraud Much Larger Than First Reported

First Formal Application Filed For Thompson Divide Drilling

Ouray County Commission Race Finance

Delta Cannery Razed After 92 Years

Western Slope Skies

Fri, 26 Oct 2012 14:50:36 +0000 Brian Cambria 2060 at Union Pacific Hopes to Close 3 Paonia RR Crossings
At last week’s Paonia Town Council meeting, representatives from Union Pacific Railroad announced that they want to close three railroad crossings in the town limits.
