Week #1 of our 2014 KVNF Live! Summer Concert Series originates from Fellin Park at the Hot Springs Pool in Ouray, and features a group of sisters from Ft. Collins, Colorado, SHEL. The opening act is another Colorado band, TAARKA, from Lyons. This show was recorded on Thursday, June 5th, 2014.
Tony Wachowicz, a member of the Bowie coal mine rescue team, is participating in rescue training at the college.
“Mine rescue training is where you have a group of guys who go into a simulated problem and you go into a simulated field and you vent different gases and you save different people that have gotten into a situation," Wachowicz said.

The Bureau of Land Management has wrapped up its comment period about the leases under question in the White River National Forest.
The BLM is currently running an Environmental Impact Study on some existing oil and gas leases, leases they’ve already given out.
"The BLM is looking at 65 existing leases on the White River National Forest," said David Boyd, a BLM spokesman. "BLM either needs to adopt the Forest Service analysis, or do our own. Back in '93, we did not do either of those, so we're we're doing this Environmental Impact Study now to address that."
