Jon Howard

Jon spent his early life in Northeast Missouri where a love of music, a fascination with electronics and the constant sound coming from a turquoise Philco desktop radio sealed his fate and let him toward a career in radio.  It was at the University of Kansas where he first experienced non-commercial radio and where his Professor helped him secure his first job in public radio at Kansas State University’s KKSU whose history goes back to 1924.  40 years, 5 stations, three General Managerships and a decade in the UK later Jon has landed in Western Colorado and at KVNF.
