2014 KVNF Annual Meeting: Board elections & Bylaws change

The KVNF Annual Meeting is coming up soon, on Thursday, October 9th at 6:30 pm at Paonia Town Hall, 214 Grand Avenue, Paonia, Colorado.

This year there are 4 open seats on the Board and one Bylaw proposal. If you are a KVNF member, we hope that you will cast your vote. Your membership and participation is vital, enabling KVNF to remain at the forefront of community radio stations nationwide.

This year, there are six nominees to fill four open seats on the KVNF board of directors: Judy Briscoe (incumbent), Paonia; Mike Campo, Paonia; Pam Ellison, Paonia; Bruce Herr, Montrose; Bob Pennetta, Crawford; and Steve Rubick, Hotchkiss. Before voting, please read the candidate statements here. Then download and print the ballot attached here.

If your membership includes a spouse or partner, each may cast a separate ballot. To vote for a candidate, place an "X" in the box next to the candidate’s name. You may vote for up to four candidates. Similarly, consider the proposed bylaw change and mark whether you are in favor of, or opposed to, this change. Click here for a current copy of the KVNF By-Laws.

In order for your mail-in vote to be counted:

  1. Your completed mail-in ballot must be mailed to KVNF, PO Box 1350, Paonia, CO 81428 or delivered to the station at 233 Grand Avenue, Paonia, CO. It must be received by the end of business (5 p.m.) on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, or you may vote in person at the annual meeting on October 9th (time and location above).
  2. You must print your name(s) and address in the upper left corner of the envelope or use a return address label. (This allows the election judges to verify membership without opening the envelope.) Do not put your name on your ballot.
  3. Please write “KVNF Ballot” on the bottom left corner of the return envelope, so your envelope WILL NOT BE OPENED prior to ballot counting. To protect your identity, election judges will open and recycle all envelopes before beginning the process of vote counting.

Thank you again for your participation in this important open meeting process and for your support of KVNF. If you would like to vote, but you are not yet a member, we would love to have you!
