Local Motion: Fascinating Fungi

For this episode, mushrooms festivals and mushrooms lovers.

The 35th annual Telluride Mushroom Festival took place recently.  To give a sense of what that jangly, excited event felt like, Jake Ryan visited and talked to participants and organizers.  Here’s the story that ran on our regional newscast earlier this month.

One of the presenters at the event was Eugenia Bone.  Jake Ryan sat down with her afterwards to talk about the event, why mushrooms have so many people hooked, what makes the Western Slope special, and how as our climate changes, mushrooms might change with it.
