Local Motion: Regional Elections Wrap-Up

Today on Local Motion, a look back at some local ballot initiatives across our region and the state.

We talked with area reporters and people involved in contested issues this year about the elections, the outcomes, and what the results tell us about the attitude of Colorado voters this year.

Annette Choszczyk, Director for the Delta County Libraries District, gives some insight on the failed measure to raise the mill levy to fund the county's libraries. 

Telluride Daily Planet Editor Katie Klingsporn talks about why voters rejected a proposed tax on sugary and sweetened beverages in the town. 

From KDNK in Carbondale, Eric Skalac joined us to talk about the new local tax on retail marijuana that Carbondale voters approved last week, and Broomfield Enterprise Reporter Megan Quinn brings us the latest on the failed fracking ban from the Front Range that's likely to see a recount sometime this week.
