Gabby George
Gabby George grew up on Fruitland Mesa near Crawford, and has lived in
Delta County his whole life. He retired this year after a more than forty year career in public works in Hotchkiss and Crawford. He has had a second career as an auctioneer. He spoke about it with StoryCorps facilitator Sara Culver.

Dasha Virden and Phillip Virden
Dasha Virden is seventeen years old and was adopted from an orphanage in Russia in 1994. She spoke
about her adoption with her adoptive father, Phillip Virden. They live in Lake City.

Peter Felde and Drake Pulliam
Peter Felde and Drake Pulliam met through the Partners mentoring program when Peter was 12. Five years later,
Peter is 17, and Drake is now Peter's boss at Drake's restaurant in Ridgway. They both live in Ridgway.
