Electric Car Charging

  • A new law for Colorado will help with food security from farm to table, according to State Representative Marc Catlin. Delta County recently received a sizable grant from Charge Ahead Colorado to upgrade its electric vehicle charging stations at three rural locations in the county. KVNF’s Lisa Young has the details.
  • Mesa County Valley School District 51 saw a dip in enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year; the drop appears to be a trend that will continue throughout the next decade, reports the Daily Sentinel. he Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission welcomed the Gunnison and Taylor Rivers as the newest Gold Medal trout fisheries in the state. The City of Delta recently held a work session to discuss building supportive housing to help local people who may be unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused, reports the Delta County Independent.
  • Montrose will host its first Culture Fest celebrating its diverse community. The event will be held this Saturday at The Ute Indian Museum. Mountain Harvest Festival kicks off today in Paonia beginning at six o’clock with Harvest of Voices at the Blue Sage Center. The fall time event wraps up on Sunday at four o’clock in the town park. Traveling to fall festivals in an electric car just got easier, as the Biden Administration recently approved 35 state electric vehicle plans–five of which are in our region.
