New Mexico native  CW Ayon speaks with Cyn Holder and Ali Lightfoot after his performance at the 2015 Telluride Blues and Brews Festival.    Ayon plays a unique version of  hill country blues  on a simple kick-snare, guitar and harmonica set-up.   

Ali Lightfoot  speaks with the winner of the 2015 Telluride Blues Challenge, Isaac Aragon.    Aragon competed against five other finalists at the festival.    Here,  he talks about the experience of  performing in front of 10 thousand people on the main stage.

Hours before it was scheduled to screen at the Telluride Film Festival, the Aretha Franklin documentary Amazing Grace has been pulled, after a federal court granted the singer an injunction. The film centers on footage shot by late director Sydney Pollack at a 1972 Franklin concert.

Anyone who caught the national television debut of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats on The Tonight Show recently witnessed something special: the arrival of a force of nature. The song was titled "S.O.B." Rateliff, backed by his gritty band — which comes complete with an organist and a horn section — veered from whispery pleas to ecclesiastical howls.

Travis Mann and his band have been creating a craze on Nashville’s historic “Lower Broadway” since his arrival in 2005.   Here, Ali Lightfoot speaks with Travis about his growing up in Paonia,  life in Nashville and his upcoming show for Celebrate the Fork in August.

Todo Mundo ("All the World") blends the musical flavors of Spanish Rumba, Reggae, Brazilian, Balkan, and Middle Eastern styles into an irresistible groove.  The band performed a live set  on the 'sky porch' at the Darby earthship on Pitkin Mesa in Paonia.
