On today’s Farm Friday we take a look at how the US 50 middle bridge closure is impacting our local ag producers. More recently CDOT has opened County Road 26 for larger commercial vehicles easing some of the pain, however, ag producers are still experiencing financial impacts from the closure. Cindie Sorensen, owner of Zenzen Gardens, in Paonia is experiencing deja vu coming off last year’s closure of CO Highway 133 that cut off tourism traffic from Glenwood Springs and Carbondale.Now she and numerous businesses in the North Fork Valley in Delta County are facing the closure of US 50, the highway between Gunnison and Montrose, often used by tourists traveling west to a number of Western Slope destinations including the Zenzen Gardens.

The Next KVNF Board of Directors meeting will be Monday May 20th at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be held at the Partners Meeting Room located at 511 E 10th St in Delta.
