Last month on the program we learned that only the five superior planets can be at opposition. The fast movement of our planet’s orbit brings us between those five planets and the sun every year. In April, Mars was at opposition. This month, on Saturday, May 10th, its Saturn’s turn to shine!

KVNF's Wednesday Morning Music Mix host Jeff Reynolds visits with legendary Texas singer-songwriter Willis Alan Ramsey, whose iconic 1972 self-titled album influenced almost every songwriter who came out of Texas in subsequent years. Ramsey's wife & musical partner Alison Rogers joins him. The two will perform in concert Friday, Oct. 18th in Montrose. The long-awaited 2nd album is previewed in the interview.

Week 3 of the KVNF Live season featured the British Columbia-based indie rock quartet Current Swell, along with opening act The Fox Fire from Brevard, North Carolina. Current Swell's portion of the concert was broadcast live from Fellin Park in Ouray.

Friday pm - Our KVMT repeater (89.1 FM) is off the air due to a power outage. San Miguel Power is working to restore service; we expect it to be off until at least 3:30 pm. This also affects listeners in the Grand Valley, as the 99.1 translator repeats the 89.1 signal.
