Starting on Saturday October 1st, there will be some changes to our programming. Due to recent budget cuts at KVNF and price increases at NPR, we had to discontinue some of our public affairs programs. The changes are as follows:
On Saturdays, instead of Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, you now will hear a re-broadcast of our locally produced programs Local Motion and Talkin Music.
Fresh Air will be replaced by a re-broadcast of Radio Lab.
Instead of Latino USA on Sundays at 4pm you will now hear Counterspin and Left Right and Center.
First Voices on Sunday nights at 9pm will now be replaced by a re-airing of eTown
The TED Radio hour will no longer air on KVNF
Wildcard will air on Fridays at 6pm instead of Wednesdays.
And a program called Earthsongs will now air on Wednesdays at 6pm. This show features Native American music with interviews with the artists and they explore Native American culture and issues.
We understand that some of these programs will be missed and regret having to cut them from the schedule.
